You Lost A Lot When You Lost Me

After my last post, I had to watch Sixteen Candles again. (Naturally! Did I mention I love the 80's?πŸ‘ΌπŸ˜πŸ˜Ž) Something I noticed this time, however, that I hasn't noticed before, were the words "The Rave-Ups" scribbled on Molly Ringwald's notebook.

Fun fact: Apparently actors Molly Ringwald and Anthony Michael Hall (who played The Geek—and is my favorite character in the movie; he has a ton of charisma for a geek!) weren't initially fond of one another. So, director John Hughes (one of my favorites—the man wrote and directed many an 80's classic) sent them to a record shop where they bonded over a band they both loved: The Rave-Ups.

Ahh, the beauty of music. Absolutely unifying.
