Until I Kick The Bucket
Pardon me, ladies and gentleman, but I will have this one on loop until the day I kick the bucket. Speaking of which, what a silly expression for such a heavy, serious time— or, death. Kind of reminds me of The Addams Family, which I have recently rediscovered my undying, deep love for. Time to embrace my dark side, which is funny because they really subvert that Gothic/dark expectation and have a very sunny, optimistic view on life. It is really refreshing, and perhaps subconsciously what my goth children's story, the darkest fairy, (available on Amazon) was based upon.
What does this song have to do with all that? Nothing, really, just love it and have it on loop!
I knew you were waiting, I knew you were waiting for me...
That hook!
Aretha Franklin & George Michael: "I Knew You Were Waiting (For Me)"
