I mentioned to a friend how I watched a video about Boy George during the pandemic, and in it, Boy George mentioned how he writes songs using toplining. Toplining is a songwriting strategy where a songwriter places the melody and lyrics over a pre-arranged track. I adore toplining and haven't gotten to do it nearly as much as I'd like.
